Trichloroacetic Acid

This medium strength chemical peel has been used for decades to rejuvenate the face. It has been widely used to treat a variety of skin problems including:

  • Soft wrinkles and fine lines
  • Mild acne scars
  • Sun spots
  • Decrease pores
  • Add contour to the skin
  • Improve texture

Despite its potency, TCA has little or no effect on deep creases, surgical scars and long standing wrinkles. It is applied to the skin and left on for a number of minutes and then neutralized. This results in the removal of dead skin and debris. It is stronger than the Glycolic peel and results are more dramatic, however downtime is significantly longer.
